FOR REFUGEES
Students that Matter (StM) is a collaboration between the UAF and the HvA. It consists of three pillars: Science, Education and Learning to live together. The Science pillar places one or two suitable refugee scientist(s) at one of the lectorates of the HvA, so that the scientists are able to do research in a specified period safely again. The Education pillar guides students during their study with study skills and/or the Dutch and/or English language to promote successful studying. Meet ups are also organized in order to exchange information in an informal manner, to relax and to expand the social network of the students. This pillar also has LINK; a co-worker/employee mentorship for senior students, where co-workers make their network available to refugee students to promote finding an internship.
